Energy vs Dimir Oculus 2-0
This article is part of a series on Boros Energy.
Game 1
Felt like opponent was very unlucky. They got out an Oculus on turn 4, which I think they topdecked, but it wasn't enough to stop the 5 creatures I had at that point.
Game 2
Wasn't sure what to sideboard. I ended up grabbing:
- 1 Blood Moon obviously.
- 1 Reprieve to hit a counterspell or Oculus with a delve cost.
- 1 Surgical because they fill their graveyard a lot and I saw some scary threats in it, like Archon of Cruelty.
Mulled down to 5.
At 12:26, I baited the opponent to discard two cards to protect their Frog from Galvanic Discharge, which I then removed on my turn with Static Prison. That play felt correct, trading 2 cards for 3 cards + 3 energy.
Opponent conceded after I got out a Seasoned Pyromancer, discarding Phlage.
